Takasha Morrow

My name is Takasha Morrow, and I am from New Orleans, LA. I have been in Gastonia since 2013. I am an Army veteran. My husband, Matt, and I have three children, all of whom are Gaston County graduates.

I hold a BA in Business Administration from Strayer University, a BA in Elementary Education from Belmont Abbey College, and a Master's in Educational Leadership and Administration from Queens University of Charlotte. Additionally, I earned a graduate certificate in Theological Studies from Liberty University and I am currently pursuing my EdD in Organizational Leadership at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

I began my career in Gaston County as a substitute teacher and transitioned to a full-time teaching position in January 2017. My teaching philosophy centers around fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student can thrive. I am passionate about integrating culturally responsive teaching practices to ensure that all students feel valued and understood.

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending time with my family, volunteering in my community and at church, and exploring new educational strategies to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
