Administrative Appointments and Transfers for 2025-2026

During the Gaston County Board of Education meeting on Monday, March 17, the following administrative transfers/appointments were announced for the 2025-2026 school year (effective July 1):

Principal Transfers

• Justin Beam was transferred to serve as the principal at Sherwood Elementary School.  He currently serves as the principal at North Belmont Elementary School.
• Jenny Cabe was transferred to serve as the principal at Lingerfeldt Elementary School.  She currently serves as the principal at York Chester Middle School.
• Shawn Hubers was transferred to serve as the principal at Pleasant Ridge Elementary School.  He currently serves as the principal at Cherryville High School.
• Jaime Wallace was transferred to serve as the principal at Woodhill Elementary School.  She currently serves as the principal at Brookside Elementary School.

Principal Appointment

• Stephanie Gust was appointed to serve as the interim principal at Lingerfeldt Elementary School (effective immediately).  She previously served as the principal at River Oaks Academy in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.
