Inclusive Classrooms
-
We believe that all children, including those with special needs, deserve a high-quality preschool program in the least restrictive environment. Therefore, our classrooms are inclusive, meaning that children with special needs are placed, when appropriate, in the regular Pre-K classrooms. Children are given appropriate supports and individualized plans as needed so they may participate in the classroom experiences in the natural classroom environment. This is a positive experience for both children with special needs and the typically-developing children. For more information, visit the Department of Exceptional Children. If you are concerned about your child’s development, here are directions for how to make a referral to the Exceptional Children Preschool Program.
